Dispatch from the campaign #2
It’s been a big week for us, with more CLPs passing our motions in support of a Green New Deal!
On Thursday John McDonnell outlined Labour’s ambitions for a socialist, internationalist Green New Deal which puts the needs of workers front and centre in making the radical transformations needed to achieve our low-carbon future.
Our campaign is making a difference. We now need to keep up the momentum and create a political space for these plans to go further.
Now that CLPs are active again, it’s time to get back to work on passing our conference motion. We want a Green New Deal to be top of the agenda, and for this to happen we need as many submissions as possible. If you want to pass it in your CLP, let us know.
Join the campaign conference call on Saturday, June 8th at 11am.
This is a chance for campaign members and supporters to stay up to speed with everything going on, hosted by our Co-Director Angus.
