Dispatch from the campaign #13
This week we launched a crowdfunder to build our movement and help us win a radical Green New Deal at Labour Conference.
In just six months we’ve built local groups across the country, from Gateshead to Cornwall, and around 70 CLPs have backed our motion for conference. All of this was without funding. Imagine how far we could go if we had it. Watch our video and chip in today!
Our goal is to raise £5,000 by 1 September. If you’re able to help out -
Forward this email to five friends or family members
Spread the word through your local group and CLP.
We want to be top of the agenda at conference. CLPs can submit their motion until 12 September, so there’s still time to pass it in yours! If you want to, let us know.
What’s been happening?
BIRMINGHAM – We had an amazing weekend at Birmingham Transformed! Together with Birmingham LGND we took part in panel discussions on the climate emergency and grassroots organising. Catch up on our Twitter.
LONDON – Our co-director Adrienne joined Rebecca Long-Bailey and Ali Milani in Uxbridge on Sunday at Labour’s latest Green Industrial Revolution event. Check out her thoughts here. With the leadership and the grassroots united, there’s no stopping us!
As our new Creative Content Co-Lead, you could help us win the radical Green New Deal to transform the economy and reshape society.
We're on the lookout for someone who can support the co-ordination of our design & video output, while managing a small team of volunteers in this task.
Interested? Take a look at the role description for more information, as well as instructions on how to apply.
We're recruiting an Events Team Lead to coordinate our participation in national, regional, and local events.
Do you have experience organising events and managing a team, and are able to commit 8 hours a week? Have a read of the role description.
If you're interested in applying for either of these roles, send over a couple of paragraphs outlining your interest and experience to email@example.com, with the role title as the subject heading, and we’ll find a time to chat!
