Dispatch from the campaign #15

There are just 2 days of our crowdfunder left and we've almost reached our goal of £5,000! Now we're asking for one last push to get us over the line.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. Your donations are helping us prepare to take our movement to conference. We need leaflets, banners and t-shirts, and we’re organising a rally for the first day in Brighton! Together we can win a radical Green New Deal for the many.

Whats been happening this week?

CROYDON – Croydon LGND launched on Tuesday. Our co-founder Clare Hymer joined James Meadway, Sakina Sheikh and Niroshan Sirisena to discuss why a Green New Deal should be pivotal in the fight against the Climate Crisis. Catch up here

27 August – Our very own Daniel Willis was on this week’s Tysky Sour (in another hat) to talk about what’s happening in the Amazon and why tackling the power of corporations, and extending solidarity to indigenous communities, will be fundamental to tackling the Climate Crisis. Catch up here.

We’re recruiting!

As our new Creative Content Co-Lead, you could help us win a radical Green New Deal to transform the economy and reshape society. Take a look at the role description.

We’re also looking for an Events Team Lead to coordinate our participation in national, regional, and local events. Here’s the role description

If you're interested in applying for either of these roles, send over a couple of paragraphs outlining your interest and experience to info@labourgnd.uk, with the role title as the subject heading, and we’ll find a time to chat.
