Dispatch from the campaign #17

With just a week to go, the final countdown to conference is on! Motion submissions closed yesterday, and we’re delighted to have the largest number of any Labour campaign. Thank you so much for all the hard work you did in your CLPs.

The next stop is our rally for a Green New Deal on 21 September. This week we announced the first of a great line-up of speakers - Faiza Shaheen , Dave Ward, General Secretary of the Communications Workers Union and Matt Wrack, General Secretary of the Fire Brigades Union. Stay tuned for more exciting announcements in the next few days. See you there, and bring your comrades!

We’re calling on Labour to reconsider its relationship to corporate sponsors at conference – read our full statement here. On 24 September New Statesman are hosting an event with BP. Join us at our protest.

We’re also running two sessions at The World Transformed this year! Join us to discuss how we can build a radical climate justice movement and for a workshop on visioning the Green New Deal in your local area. Get your tickets here

In other news, in case you missed it, we published a series of policy explainers last week, laying out our vision for what a radical Green New Deal will look like. Check them out on our website.
