Dispatch from the campaign #18
Two weeks ago Labour conference overwhelmingly backed a radical, socialist Green New Deal that will decarbonise Britain by 2030 and rebuild our economy in the interests of people and planet.
In the last few days Labour has made some announcements on how it will do so, creating hundreds of thousands of green-collar jobs in the process, and yesterday we were delighted to see Jeremy Corbyn sign up to a radical Green New Deal programme! Listen to his full speech here.
This is just the beginning. Now we’re taking the Green New Deal to every town, workplace and community across the UK.
On 11 October we took to the streets with Extinction Rebellion to demand political action on the climate crisis, leafleting and talking to people about Labour's Green New Deal. There was an amazing response from protestors - we used all of our 1000 leaflets! 📣
